We moved from Sophos to DattoEDR with managed windows Defender. It is noisy at first but it has proven to show us many things that Sophos didn’t. We are happy that new features are coming.

The price tag for N-central is super cheap… so cheap that when I first signed up, I was sure they were quoting me monthly pricing. But not cheap like Prado knockoffs – this is a quality suite of tools for managing, monitoring, and maintaining all computing devices with minimal work on the tech side. It’s a simple install and you’re done. Logging into the portal for management gives you a wealth of information, and using the included TakeControl functionality makes end user troubleshooting easier than a phone call. It works across Mac and Windows, and has agents (that I haven’t tested) for Ubuntu and CentOS. It’s so cost-effective and easy to use/deploy that I’m never going to NOT use it in every company I work in from now on.

Patryk B.

I think there’s too many features at times that it’s impossible to be aware of them all, and therefore there’s chance things are not done efficiently or the correct way. It almost needs it’s own training/education platform to get the most out of it. There’s a lot of bugs recently with devices not getting new agent versions, devices appearing with the incorrect network name, and devices disappearing and re-appearing.

Jared C.

Ninja has become our central repository for all our computers and servers on our network. Its an invaluable tool to push out new software and updates to them. Its easy to use, finding the computers that need support by the users name, computer name, serial number, etc is easy as putting them in the search bar to instantly go to that computer.

It was easy enough to implement, utilising an MSI installer, you can get it silently installed on to the computers easily. We use the system every day, to remotely support the users, and to push out the software and see feedback if the installs fail, and scheduling them to is useful.

Support from Ninja has been good, and visiting the dojo (their internal forum support) is useful to see their FAQs, etc. It integrated into our way of working well and the guys know this is the go to when someone needs help.

Tim J., IT Manager

With the unlimited amount of included users, we were looking forward to implementing remote access capabilities to some of our remote users (access to PC from mobile device). Many of these users would be using their phone for remote access, unfortunately, mobile support for end users isn’t properly implemented yet. There are various other features that we wished NinjaOne would implement (multi split window for multi-monitor when remoted into remote PC for example), some of which are on their roadmap, some of which are not.

Update after 9 months of using Endpoint Central Cloud: it is ok at some features but multi-OS features leave a lot to be desired. macOS features are not useful, linux support is basically nonexistent and if you don’t have Active Directory everything is harder to manage. Very windows centric.

Remote access tools seemed to work alright. Windows patching (os and application) seemed to work alright.

Use the free version if you can. We will not renew our subscription but plan to use the free version that covers 25 computers.

Robust software with many features – Endpoint Central is designed to help IT with many different types of computers and devices and is very good at documentation of help and configuration allowing me to understand what the features are and how they work.

Andrew C., IT Manager

One notable drawback is the absence of an option to plan configuration deployments on a specific day or re-deploy them on a scheduled basis. This lack of scheduling flexibility limits the strategic planning of deployment activities, making it challenging to align software rollouts with optimal timing for our organization’s operational needs.
