This is why we decided to create a survey to better understand how prepared educational institutions are to face cybersecurity challenges in remote learning times. Based on your responses, we will compile the data and an anonymized version of the results may get included in future research materials or blog articles. Survey Participation Rules
ELIGIBILITY
Survey Participation is open to anyone of legal age in their residing country as of the date of entry, including but not limited to Heimdal Security customers. Employees of Heimdal Security (the Sponsor) and their affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, suppliers and their immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of each are not eligible to participate in the Survey. Please note that only educational staff members are qualified to redeem the Heimdal™ Threat Prevention extended trial for the institution they work in. However, student and parent perspectives represent valuable research assets as well. If you are not a member of staff in an educational facility, it is possible to recommend the survey to those who are. In this way, your school or university will become eligible to redeem the 60-day trial. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. Only the respondents who register and provide their email addresses on the Heimdal™ Threat Prevention landing page will be fit to receive an extended free trial of 60 days.
AGREEMENT TO RULES
By participating, you agree to be fully unconditionally bound by these Rules, and you represent and warrant that you meet the eligibility requirements set forth herein. In addition, you agree to accept the decisions of Heimdal Security, as final and binding as it relates to the content. The Survey is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws.
SURVEY PARTICIPATION PERIOD
The Survey Participation entry period begins at 14:00 p.m. CET on October 22, 2020, and ends at 14:00 p.m. CET on December 7, 2020. All registrations submitted and timely received during the Survey Participation Period will be eligible to receive the 60-day trial of Heimdal™ Threat Prevention.
HOW TO ENTER
During the Survey Participation Period, submit your responses here. The entries must fulfill all Survey requirements, as specified, to be eligible for the extended free trial. Respondents will be able to claim the 60-day extended trial of Heimdal™ Threat Prevention upon submitting their full name and valid email address at the landing page linked at the end of the survey. Respondents who have not provided a valid email address will not be eligible for the free extended trial. You may enter only once and you must fill in the information requested. You may not enter more times than indicated by using multiple email addresses, identities, or devices in an attempt to circumvent the rules. If you use fraudulent methods or otherwise attempt to circumvent the rules your submission may be removed from eligibility at the sole discretion of Heimdal Security.
EXTENDED 60-DAY TRIAL SPECIFICATIONS
Every representative of an educational institution that provides a valid email address at the end of the survey is eligible to redeem an extended free trial period of 60 days for Heimdal™ Threat Prevention. No cash or other prize substitution is permitted. The trial is non-transferable. Any and all trial-related expenses, including without limitation any and all federal, state, and/or local taxes shall be the sole responsibility of the winner. No substitution of prize or transfer/assignment of the trial to others or request for the cash equivalent by winners is permitted. Registering for the trial constitutes permission for Heimdal Security to use the respondent’s specified email address to send further promotional materials related to Heimdal™ Threat Prevention, as well as other relevant Heimdal Security products.
HOW ELIGIBLE RESPONDENTS ARE SELECTED AND NOTIFIED
Eligible respondents constitute all survey responses received in the Survey Participation Period accompanied by a valid email address. Those who claim the extended free trial will be notified via email at the email address submitted on the landing page provided at the final stage of the survey. Heimdal Security shall have no liability for a respondent’s failure to receive notices due to spam, junk e-mail, or other security settings or for the provision of incorrect or otherwise non-functioning contact information.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Heimdal Security reserves the right to modify, terminate, suspend, or cancel the Survey Participation at its sole discretion. Heimdal Security also reserves the right to disqualify your entry if found ineligible to participate. If a dispute arises regarding your identity, Heimdal Security reserves the right not to award the extended free trial. Heimdal Security has the right, in its sole discretion, to maintain the integrity of the Survey to void votes for any reason, including, but not limited to multiple entries from the same user from different IP addresses, multiple entries from the same computer in excess of that allowed by Survey rules, or the use of bots, macros or scripts or other technical means for entering. Any attempt by an entrant to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of the Survey may be a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, Heimdal Security reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law.
PRIVACY POLICY
Your identity will not be disclosed to any third parties and will only be accessed by Heimdal Security. The names and email addresses collected in the Survey Participation period will be used for marketing purposes when relevant. You can opt out of receiving this communication at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in the newsletter and choose to be deleted from Heimdal Security’s database. Your responses will be used to create a report on the current state of cybersecurity in the education sector. Responses will be kept anonymous and may be quoted in future Heimdal Security research materials or blog articles.
